Adegoke’s 10.16s is 2021 world’s fastest time yet

Tokyo 2020 Olympics medal hopeful, Enoch Adegoke has recorded the fastest time in 100m the world this year, after turning out a new World Lead of 10.16s (+0.8).

Adegoke achieved this at the men’s 100m final at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) All-Comers which held the Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure.

The 2018 Commonwealth Games finalist finished the race ahead of Godson Brume who placed second, and Alaba Akintola who placed third to emerge as the country’s fastest sprinters this year. Over 500 athletes took part in the competition in Akure which kick started the 2021 athletics season in Nigeria.
