The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has described those perpetuating insecurity in some parts of the country as unpatriotic.
The Minister, who stated this at a Press conference in Abuja today, said Nigerians must be forthcoming with information that could lead to the arrest and prosecution of those he described as anarchists, adding that security is the business of all.
Lai Mohammed said government was resolutely tackling the situation and security would improve drastically in the days ahead.
Commenting on the attack launched against the police headquarters and correctional facility in Imo State, leading to the release of hundreds of inmates, Mohammed said it is most unfortunate, dastardly, condemnable and unacceptable.
According to him, the attack fits into the growing pattern of inexplicable and anarchical acts by some malcontents who seem bent on triggering chaos across the land.
Mohammed said Nigerians must fish out those who are acting as ‘agent provocateur’ for reasons best known to them to avoid throwing the country into chaos, warning that they must not be allowed to win.
