Former Senator Sati Gogwim, Representing Plateau Central is dead.
Sati Gogwim, 72, died of a protracted illness on Tuesday morning. He was said to have developed health crisis and was rushed to Rayfield Medical Centre in Jos, but pronounced dead on arrival.
The deceased younger brother, Mr Williams Gogwim, who made the announcement to newsmen today at Pankshin, said the late Senator, who had been sick since last year, traveled to receive treatment abroad in December, only returned last Sunday, April 4 2021.
Gogwim said the family would miss the love of the deceased as a brother, father, uncle and supporter, but they had all taken the death in good faith as true Christians.
Senator Gogwim, who was born on the 27 July 1949, hailed from Dawaki Village in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau state.
He was also a retired Major General in the Nigerian army who served as Finance Officer, Administrative Officer, Audit and Budget Officer, before joining politics and got elected as Senator representing Plateau Central in 2007.
